Elbow Patches

‘Tis the season for elbow patches. And super loose sweaters. And lots of layering. And smoking slippers.
Basically, it’s the best time of year.
This morning, I met up with my friend Brittney for brunch. (It may or may not have been my third day in a row at Maison Kayser…) Brittney and I are both from Tampa, but we met randomly on a street corner in Georgetown. True story. I love when she’s in town because it’s always fun to catch up with her. She was telling me how small DC is and how she always runs into the same people all the time. Even though NYC has so many people, I was explaining to her that it’s often super small too. Of course, we ran into TWO mutual friends. #SmallWorld
I’m in the process of turning over my closet right now and I’m finding that a lot of my fall clothes just aren’t cutting it. I went to J. Crew last weekend and picked up this sweater. It’s one of those super loose sweaters that’s perfect for casually throwing on. Loving it layered!
Oh, the jeans? Gap Always Skinny. I’ve worn them four times this week. Please don’t judge. They’re perfect and so comfortable. (And kind of the perfect price point for jeans.) I’ve been searching for jeans in this wash and I was thrilled when I found them at Gap. Oh, and the pocket placement is #spoton.

What are you up to this weekend?

PS I’m so in love with Essie’s “After School Boy Blazer” nail polish. I don’t want to wear anything else this fall!

Love the sweater and the elbow patches! I also LOVE those jeans. Almost as much as you do. & I think it's completely fine that you wore them 4 times this week — when you find something you like, flaunt it! I wore the same outfit three nights in a row (luckily pictures weren't taken at any of the events so no one had to know but me & K).
