A Gorgeous Day

I don’t know if it was really that gorgeous of a day, but after below freezing temperatures, rain, snow, and icy sidewalks… it felt like summer. My morning plans were canceled so Teddy and I took to the streets for an extra long walk. It’s so much fun walking with him and we’ve met so many neighbors! (Teddy is the friendliest dog and seriously doesn’t understand why not everyone wants to stop and pet him!)
Amy came uptown and we spent the afternoon wandering the neighborhood and enjoying the clear day. There was shopping involved (naturally). We’re both in love with the J. Crew collection store and obsessed over our new friend Lisa’s outfit. The chicest: oversized cashmere cardigan, light blue cords, wooden necklace.
Low key Sundays are my favorite. I’m all about this no-fuss outfit.
Barbour Jacket (c/o Tuckernuck) // Fleece Vest (similar) // V-Neck Sweater // Jeans
And this is the door that Amy and I have been chasing for two weeks now. Days of searching Google Maps on Streetview, canvasing the neighborhood on foot, Pinterest-stalking… We finally found it, but the beautiful anchor door knocker has been covered by a wreath for the holidays. BUT NOT TODAY. #victory. (Now I want an anchor door knocker…)
While walking back after shopping and door hunting, we ran into Mackenzie’s mom who was calling our names from a cab. (Honestly, the city is so small!) And then we staked out in front of Mackenzie’s door waving are arms, called her downstairs after we got her attention, and then went to catch up in a cafe over cappuccinos. Because there’s always something to catch up on.
What did you do this weekend? Anything fun?
xoxo
