On My Radar

It’s been a head’s down week for me and very much needed. The last quarter of the year is always the busiest for me as the holidays start to gear up. This week was spent digging my way out of an email hole (still not where I want to be) so not much to report!

I did do a lot of yoga and got my butt kicked by an 80-year-old guy in tennis, ha.

Connecticut style blogger Carly Heitlinger wears a Georgetown sweater from Hilflint to the Head of the Charles.

Wearing: Gingham Shirt // Georgetown Sweater // Corduroy Skirt // Hunter Boots

The slow going week was very much welcomed after this weekend in Boston. I shared what we did and the outfit I wore on Sunday, but the outfit above is what I wore on Saturday to the Head of the Charles. (Actually, I wore it Saturday and Sunday, when we shot the photo because it was raining too hard to photograph on Saturday…..🙈) Anyway, how perfect is this Georgetown sweater?!?! I’ve been waiting for so long for Hillflint to come out with Georgetown and I knew the Head of the Charles was the best weekend to debut it.

(I’ve got a few emails about sizing since I Instagrammed it. It’s unisex sizing, so if you’re ordering for a guy, it’s true to size. For women, I’d recommend sizing down. I got the XS and washed/dried it on the highest setting to get it to shrink a bit. It’s still a little big.)

Okay, here’s what’s on my radar:

ONE // Gilmore Girls Official Trailer

There are no words for how excited I am for the Gilmore Girls revival on Netflix. I’m tempted to rewatch the series again just to prepare mentally! I love that they brought back so much of the original cast and that it seems to have the same feel as the beloved original.

TWO // Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Trailer

Another trailer, I know. But… ugh!!! I’m so excited for this movie too!!!! I legit got goosebumps when watching this, for the first and the hundredth time.

THREE // Tory Burch Bow Pump

I went into the Tory Burch store to return something and tried on these super cute pumps. They’re comfortable and, because of the low heel, they’re easy to walk in but feel a bit more sophisticated than your typical ballet flat. I also liked that the branding wasn’t over the top.

FOUR // The Funfetti Explosion

Who doesn’t love a funfetti cake?! This NY Times article was equal parts amusing and interesting. Apparently, we have a serious fascination (obsession? passion? love?) for sprinkles! I know I’m guilty as charged.

FIVE // Sewing Hope

This is the most heartwarming video ever. (Warning, though, don’t watch in public!! I cried!) Campbell is such a sweet little kid with so much compassion. Campbell has been donating stuffed animals to sick children for years, but the best part is that he sews them himself. These are gorgeous stuffed animals with personality! I’m so impressed by him. Check out his Facebook page if you want more updates or more information.

Have you seen the PBS documentary about Hamilton? You would love it, I watched it twice! I think you can still watch through the Apple TV app 🙂

So excited for #1 & #2. We went to the Gilmore Girls Festival in Washington Depot this weekend. So cute and a fun way to get excited for the revival!

Oh my gosh, thank you for alerting me to this Georgetown sweater! My husband is a fellow alum, and we go to so many basketball games now that we live in DC, I have been looking for something Georgetown that was also cute and preppy! Love! And also, I said the exact same thing about watching all of GG before the revival. Is there time?!? Challenge accepted.
