Cold Weather

Merry Christmas!

I’m breaking about 1,283 family rules by posting this photo. We take our Christmas cards very seriously and there was a delay in the shipping (110% my fault, ugh!)… so no one has received them yet. But I just had to post.

As kids, we’d pick out a matching outfit. Once we were older, my sister and I would start procrastinating later and later, pushing the Thanksgiving deadline. Now we pretty much try to coordinate with whatever we feel like wearing. Last year, we wanted to recreate one of the “classic” old cards… but we couldn’t find overalls. (Note: we started looking Thanksgiving morning so we were limited to Walmart which was the only store open.)

We started early this year (haha, the day before Thanksgiving) and miraculously found orange shirts and overall dresses that we thought would work for the specific photo. We felt as ridiculous as you’d imagine. But the photos came out pretty cute!

We held the photo on the back of the card!

PS My dad was so not into the outfits!!! He kept asking if we could take a “nice” photo instead. Stace and I weren’t worried because we were planning on taking cute photos during her visit in Connecticut. And we did get some super cute sister pics that I think will get his blessing, hahaha.

PPS I’m taking a few days off from blogging– I’ll be back soon! I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

I think the idea of creating a childhood photo is so much fun. I want to make my brother do something similar with me. This is super cute, I'm sure your family and friends will love it!
