Navy Eyelet on Nantucket

My closet is 60% navy and white dresses. I just can’t get enough of them. But I know that I always feel my best whenever I’m wearing them, so I justify the absurd quantity of them.

I’m also always on the hunt for great dresses that are easy to travel with. I look for material that won’t wrinkle, styles that allow for a second scoop of ice cream, and a color that won’t appear dirty after a full day’s wear. Bonus points if I can wear it from breakfast to dinner through all kinds of activities. This one felt like a no-brainer when I saw it in the store.

I almost changed my earrings at the last minute; I’m so glad that I didn’t though! I way prefer to keep simple jewelry, but for this dress, I thought it’d be fun to incorporate pops of red with my lips and my earrings.

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about which red lipsticks I’ve been wearing. In these photos, I’m wearing Bobbi Brown Red Carpet. That’s the one I use the most I think, at least during the summer since it’s a little bit of a brighter red.

This dress is beautiful! I especially love that it’s a little bit longer– I always feel like a hemline below the knee is best for when you’re going to be doing a wide variety of activities. I don’t want to worry about accidentally showing a little too much when I’m traveling and exploring! I just bought the “Cooperative Emilia Linen Button-Down Midi Dress” from Urban Outfitters (my first purchase from that store, I was shocked to find such a ladylike dress there!) and it’s a similar length, just in case anyone else is looking for long dresses 🙂

I adore navy and white dresses! Even if they’re printed, they kind of feel like a neutral so they look good with all sorts of other colors. You look super cute!

I’m also a sucker for navy – I don’t even own anything black, navy is my neutral!
Also, all of your Nantucket posts are giving me the serious kick in the butt I needed to start saving and getting serious about planning a trip there. I’d love to see a travel guide with your best tips for finding a great place to stay, as well as a list of must-do/must see for first timers!
Hope you had a great Independence Day!

Fabrics that don’t wrinkle are so important when traveling! I hate it when I get to a place and the outfit looks a mess after I spent a long time ironing it…
I’m glad you didn’t change your earrings. I love small jewelry too but sometimes a pop of color makes a big difference 🙂

I’m so in love with eyelet at the moment! I live in New Zealand and it can be hard to find pieces like this here! I’d love to see a shopping guide from a website that ships internationally (like Asos maybe?) that reflects your style. It can be hard when stores don’t ship (or charge an arm and a leg) to ship to us. I love your style <3
