Some Bedding Options

I am in the process of sprucing up my bedroom. My original plan fell through last minute and then I just put it on the back burner. I let months go by before I got the task underway again. It started with fresh sheets, and I finally picked out a new duvet. Can’t wait to share the final look; the duvet is custom though so it’ll be a few weeks.

In the meantime, I thought I’d share some of the cutest bedding options I found while I was looking around.

First up, sheets. Honestly, I don’t like to spend a lot of money on sheets. I know people swear by expensive ones and I’m sure they’re great. I prefer to buy a few sets of less expensive sheets that I can wash over and over and over again without worrying about being delicate with them. You can’t go wrong with a set from Target. They have the cutest sets right now. Kind of regretting the boring plain sheets I just picked up…

Target Sheets

Navy Seaside Print // Nautical Flag Print

Compass Print // Anchor Print

Flamingo Print // Zebra Print

Seahorse Print // Rowing Oars (my favorite, of course!!)

Other sets I love: sailboats, bows, chambray cuffed, gingham (duh), anchors, and this maritime print.

Below are some of my top picks for bedding. This seersucker duvet and this floral duvet were two of my three top contenders. And I was tempted to plan everything around this monogrammed pillow. If someone wants white and pink bedding, I love this set– I wish it came in a blue!

Ah we totally have the same bedding taste… I actually bought your whale pillow after seeing it on the blog 😉 Last year I went on an insane hunt for this sold-out West Elm seersucker duvet and shams… I literally called every single store in the country to get the shams and ended up getting one sham from Texas and one from a store in New Mexico: https://www.westelm.com/weimgs/ab/images/wcm/products/201712/0003/seersucker-pinstripe-king-shams-c.jpg … paired with the whale pillow (instead of that teal one) and anchor sheets that were sold out and I had to get on eBay! Totally understand the importance of bed styling… can’t wait to see what you end up with!

Carly, I’m so glad you posted all these sheet sets! I’ve been in the process of sprucing up my bedroom as well but hadn’t gotten to all the details like sheets yet. I’ve found that Amazon is a surprisingly good place to shop for cute home essentials too. Worth checking out if anyone else is looking for specific decor!

I buy bedding like some women buy shoes or handbags. Pottery Barn duvets are my addiction! I recently bought the Jacey set and absolutely love the shades of blue on it.

Fun selections! I currently have anchor sheets from Tommy Hilfiger on our bed. The Company Store and Garnet Hill often have fun print options, too. I also love shopping for printed sheets at HomeGoods.

I don’t use a comforter and flat sheets, rather I have a down duvet and put it inside a cover. It’s really difficult to find duvet cover sheet sets outside of IKEA that don’t cost the equivalent of a new bed.

I always get so nervous picking out sheets. When I was in college I bought jersey ones for my dorm room… worst mistake ever. They don’t stay in place. Since then I’ve always bought all my sheets at Target! They are wonderful but I am in the same boat. I never buy super expensive sheets. Silk seems so scary ha! I have kid ones from Target and I am also in the middle of trying to decide what new comforter I should buy for my bedroom. The struggle is real. I can do fashion all day but when it comes to decorating, it’s so hard sometimes to make decisions. Will it be to overwhelming, to plain to loud? The floral one you picked out looks just like you! I can totally see you using that one for your bedroom!

No Tommy Hilfiger bedding Carly?! You’re missing out. I picked up a set of seersucker sheets with little whales embroidered and it’s SO CUTE. I’m also not the most delicate laundress and they’ve held up great so far 🙂
