Master the Open with Chase

Last year, Chase invited me to attend the US Open with them, and I was so fortunate (and excited) to get invited again this year. It’s such a fun sporting event, and this is coming from a non-sporting event kind of girl. There’s something really nice about watching tennis and, at the US Open, plenty is going on around the venue where you are never bored.

If you’re in the NYC area, I highly recommend attending one day if you can. It’s super easy to get to (you can drive in, but the 7 train goes right there) and a great activity to do with friends or your family. It’d be a great date night activity too.

I went with Carter, and we caught a great match between Angelique Kerber and Naomi Osaka. Kerber, a defending champion, was defeated by Osaka, a 19-year-old on the rise. I was at the edge of my seat the whole time. Osaka played incredibly well and was downright merciless at times.

One thing I would recommend is to make a reservation for the Chase Lounge. Last year, it was over ninety degrees outside, and the lounge was the perfect place to cool off and recuperate from the sun. This year, the Chase Lounge was just as helpful because it started to pour in the afternoon! We sprinted for the lounge after the match to warm up with some coffee.

I was also thankful to see Chase ATMs on the grounds. It was my first stop when I arrived because I didn’t have time to go to the bank that morning. And, the best thing, Chase offers a device called Charge and Watch! It allows you to watch other live matches (so you can tune into other courts) without tapping into your data allowance while charging your phone at the same time.

Just posing with the Men’s and Women’s singles trophies. I’d like to think that I’m one cute tennis outfit away from the trophy (😂).

It was the best afternoon!

Thank you Chase for sponsoring this post!

Looks like such a fun day! My family and I were there on Saturday and got to see Nadal’s match, among others. Like you, I’m not a huge sporting-event kind of person, but going to the Open is one of my favorite family traditions. It’s so much fun!
