Cold Weather

Pretending I’m in Paris

I didn’t get these photos up early enough! Everything is starting to sell out, but I’m kind of hoping that the retailers have squirreled away the stock to save for after these Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales. If not, it’s definitely worth checking your local stores if you can to track them down.

Even if you don’t have the exact pieces, this is definitely an outfit worth recreating. It’s been a legit go-to of mine in Connecticut. I love putting together outfits in the summer (mostly because it’s so easy to throw on a dress) and not so much in the winter. There’s only so many sweater-and-jeans combinations I can do.

I know I’ve also said this before… I am so into wearing black right now. I warmed up an otherwise all-black outfit with the camel coat! I try to keep my all-black looks pretty feminine because otherwise, it can be too edgy for my taste.

Beret

Also, I always love pulling out a beret! Can’t get enough of it. I love wearing hats in the winter to keep my head warm, but sometimes my beanies just don’t look dressy enough.

I wore this outfit one day while in NYC for a couple of meetings. It ended up pouring rain and was pitch black by 4:30 pm. I spent the afternoon trying to flag down cabs and not run too behind.

The Lodge Coat (which I’m seriously hoping they restock) was one of my best purchases this fall. I tried it on in the store because I wasn’t sure if I “needed” it in addition to my cocoon coat. Overall, the fit is very similar and looks the same from the outside. It has great details that make it stand out though. It’s quilted on the inside and has great cuffs to keep out the cold.

Pom Pom Ballet Flat

These Old Navy shoes are also sold out online but may be available in stores still. I went into Tory Burch to return something, and the ladies in there could not believe that the flats were from Old Navy!

I did find this similar flat, which looks just as cute… especially with those polka dots. And this loafer.

I love how berets look, but I’ve never worn one myself! I didn’t know that they actually keep your head warm and that they’re more than just a fashionable accessory?? // Loving how you’re wearing black down to your flats and pompoms. // Camel coats are such a staple and I’ve seriously got to get around to adding one to my closet! // Flagging a cab in NYC… That’s when you know you’ve made it! (rather than walking or catching the Metro or an Uber… *poor lil college student speaking here* haha) -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

This outfit is adorable!!! I love all black with a brown coat but this is such a fun way to make it more feminine and dress it up!

I can’t believe I’m just now discovering your blog! Obviously I’ve been living under a rock. That coat is seriously tempting me, especially with the 40% off right now! I’m a senior in college so I’ve been living in t shirts and leggings for the past four years, but the time has come to build my “adult” wardrobe, and your posts have saved me!

These berets look SO cute on you! And they’re so warm, it’s definitely my go-to here for a London winter 😉

Carly, I love, love, love those shoes. I managed to scoop a pair up at my local Old Navy, and I’m obsessed. That said, I’m disappointed to see those loafers with real rabbit fur on your blog. I hope we can all find alternatives to real fur for our fashion.
