Stewart Plaid Tie-Neck Top

Okay, this may be one of my favorite holiday looks to date. Have you guys noticed that I haven’t worn a single holiday dress yet on here? It’s because I haven’t purchased one! I’ve been way more into the cute tops and pants or blouses and skirts.

This top is pretty much everything with the Stewart plaid and bow on the back.

Also, I have to make a note about my hair. I usually don’t put my hair up when it’s straight because it doesn’t “stick” in the bun. That’s why I have all the flyaways! Normally I need a little bit more texture for a great bun.

But with this top, a bun is definitely necessary. Otherwise, the pretty bow (which is the best part of the top) gets covered up!

I also got this trench coat a few months ago. I had spent an afternoon trying on Burberry trench coats. I had basically made up my mind that I was going to splurge on one. But then when I went to try them on, I couldn’t find one that I was completely happy with. And for nearly $2,000, I want to really love a coat, you know? I ended up getting the trench coat when it was 40% off (it’s full price now, but I’ll keep my eye out and let you know if it goes on sale UPDATE: it is 40% off right now with “THANKU” at checkout.). It’s perfect, and for the price, I’m way in love with it. From the reviews, it seems like the sizing has changed year to year, but I found it to run a little on the big side.

The shirt itself is the showstopper, and I didn’t want my jewelry to distract. I recently found these bow earrings that I’ve had for years and (omg) are still available! I kind of thought the double bow thing would be too crazy but went for it anyway because, well, I love bows.

My Jet Set Candy charm bracelet is always a go-to of mine. It’s a great conversation starter too, which I so appreciate when I’m feeling awkward at parties! I’ve been adding charms with pretty much every trip I take!

Another view of the back of the top. I mean, how could I resist!!!

My exact shoes are sold out online (but I saw them in the sale section in J. Crew if you want to check your local store). I did find this similar pair though, and this pair is a little fancier!

Very cute! I am currently trying to pack for a 90° Thanksgiving weekend and this tank top is exactly the kind of thing I’m looking for. Might have to do a J. Crew run on my lunch today 🙂

I have been LOVING all of your posts lately. This charm bracelet is so incredibly beautiful, I am excited to do some research and start a collection of my own now that I recently took a job that will take me all over the world! Thanks, as always, for beautiful, but totally relatable content. Happy holidays!

Love this outfit! But can we get a tutorial on this bun! I have been trying to find easy ways to put my hair up and I always end up with a sleek ponytail and it just doesn’t feel professional enough for wear I work. Halp!

And as always… Love your blog… and the new branding!

Love this outfit. The top is so cute and I am loving the charm bracelet. I have never really worn one before because it can be a little harder to style for me but it looks so great with this!

this is a super old post I know, but I just bought the recent version of this top from JCrew factory that you linked… do you think I could wear it with black tuxedo pants (that you also featured and linked) and navy suede pumps for a christmas party?!
