All the Bows for the Holidays

Every year when I switch my wardrobe over from warm to cold weather clothes, I take an inventory of everything in my closet. Year after year, I tell myself I don’t need another black dress. And then I always find at least one that I just have to have. Black dresses are my favorite for so many reasons, but mostly because they’re so versatile.

When Lord and Taylor asked me to do this sponsored post, I kept coming back to this black dress with bow detailing. They have so many dresses perfect for holiday parties and they’re the best priced secret in town!. While it was difficult to narrow down to just one dress, I couldn’t say no to the bows at the end of the day.

It’s such a simple and classic design on top, which I so love and appreciate, but the bottom really packs a punch. I have to include a detail shot of the bows because I just love how fun and festive they are. The material of the bows is somewhere right in between gold and silver so you could really go either direction with your accessories.

I was half-tempted to go for a bow earring, and then I thought maybe there might be such a thing as too many bows? So I went for a simpler pave and pearl stud.

Holiday Dress with Bows

While I passed on the bow earrings, I obviously couldn’t resist this bow handbag. For some reason, I have the hardest time finding cute clutches and evening bags. I have a few black ones that I keep in my closet for “backup” situations. This one is fun and would work for a dress with a little flair, like this one, or just a simple black dress that you want to liven up a bit. It’s under $50 and converts between a clutch and a handbag, as an FYI!

So, yes, I added yet another black dress to my closet and I’m not mad about it one bit!

I love this dress. It is such a fun play on the classic black dress. I completely agree… somehow I find my closet filled with black dresses! You just can’t go wrong.

This is super cute and festive, but not really practical for an east coast holiday party. Would love to see some cute options for what to wear when its below freezing!
