Summer Dress Under $50

I’m partnering with Nordstrom on today’s post and I’m so excited to share this dress. While I’ve been sort of trying to branch away from my usual blue and white wardrobe in the summer, I keep coming back to it. I can’t help it! As I’ve been searching online, so many dresses I’ve found are far outside of the realm of affordability. I recognize that what’s affordable is going to differ from person to person, but I keep finding dresses that pique my interest and click over to find that they’re $900. No thank you!

This dress, my friends, is under $50 though!!! It’s from a new-to-me line at Nordstrom called all in favor and everything is super, super cute.

I found this little blue dress with a white floral print. It’s a true wrap dress and has the additional buttons down the side. It’s not too short, but it’s certainly flirty and fun for the summer. I also am obsessed with the flutter sleeves.

And can we just talk about this basket bag for a minute? It’s freaking adorable. I love the weave on it. It’s been going in and out of stock all week since I bought it so, if you don’t see it online keep an eye out for it in stores or check back online to see if inventory updates. This bag is the same style, just in a circular shape and comes in a few different color ways, including an adorable pink.

Originally when I bought this, I thought I’d wear it with my espadrille wedges. However, since I figured I could shoot it on Nantucket I opted for my Jack Rogers sandals instead. Trust me, the cobblestone streets require flats. Not even worth attempting to hobble around in wedges or heels. Just go with flats, always.

Wrap Dress

Since I was going with a simpler shoe, I felt like the dress needed a nice statement earring. These are pretty comfortable for a tassel earring. They also look really cute with a simple outfit like a camisole and jeans. Perfect way to elevate an otherwise comfortable and low-key look.

So the reviews online aren’t that helpful! I was nervous when I ordered it but went with my “usual” size (that I’d order from J. Crew) and it fit for me: XS. I think their size guide (XS=00-0, S=2-4, M=6-8, L=10-12, XL=14-16) seems pretty accurate. BUT if you have a smaller chest, I might size down and if you have a larger butt/hips I might size up. And because nordstrom has free shipping & free returns, I’d order two sizes if you’re unsure!

This is my favorite style of day dress: subtle print, sleeves, and a wrap design. So comfortable, practical and flattering. And the price on this is amazing!
