Favorite PJs!

Besides getting a new toothbrush, the next best thing in my opinion is purchasing new pajamas.  Maybe that’s weird, not sure.  I have lots of different bottoms and typically wear old regatta shirts to bed.
I have a few pairs from Target… they’re cute, yes.  I don’t think they’re all that comfortable or soft.  I also have some lazy pants from vineyard vines, but they’re HUGE.
My hands down favorite pajama bottoms are from Aerie, the loungewear mini-me of American Eagle.  I have some history with Aerie.  You see, last year my marketing class participated in this marketing contest for Aerie.  We had to do the whole marketing plan, blah blah blah.  It was SO MUCH WORK.  We also had to present the plan in front of employees of AE.  One of the representatives contacted my marketing professor because she liked my ideas (and my blog.. just sayin’).  She told my professor to tell me to email her.  I did in December… and then again with a follow up in January.  It wasn’t until this summer that I heard back.  I responded and again… crickets.
I love Aerie’s products.  You should definitely check out the website.  The problem for me is that the website and the stores (or lack there of) do not reflect the quality of the products.  I mean, hello, they carry CUTE sports bras… who else can say that?!?!
UGH- but their website!!!  Photoshopping a model’s chest is disgusting.  And it doesn’t even look good- it looks horrendous.
Basically what I’m saying is this: IGNORE THE WEBSITE, but don’t ignore the products.  Soccer Mom and I drove out to Brandon this weekend to go to Aerie and spend a gift card I had.  I walked away with a LOT of things… including these ADORABLE pajama bottoms!

Stocking up on new pajamas is always on my to-do list before I head back to school!
Have you tried Aerie’s products before?  Do you like them?  What do you think of the website?  What changes would you suggest to American Eagle if you had the opportunity?
xoxo

I really love their pajamas, and I actually have loved their bras and undies as well to be honest. I'm kind of a fan of Aerie in general, because they're probably the only brand making cute, quality things in good sizes for college girls. Definitely agree about the site though. It's kind of impossible to use too! I'd suggest simplifying the site and stripping it down to make it less about the stupid models (I'm sorry, I don't want to see her chest) and more about the great products! They should set themselves apart from VS by being more youthful and demure.

I love buying pajamas too & Aerie has the best pajama bottoms! I wear mine with old sorority or equestrian shirts.

ALL of my undies come from Aerie! I am not a plus sized girl any more ( lost 56lbs since January) but I am still more then a stick figure but not enough for plus size undies. I LOVE fun and festive panties! They are my favorites! I have EVERY pattern out there and have to watch not getting new ones every month. Getting New Undies is totally one of my most favorite things! I don't ever use the site to be honest. I work in a mall so I always just stop in and visit the girls at the Florida Mall Store! LOVE THEM! I do have some of their sleep shorts and a lot of their camis! Love me some Aerie!

I'll only wear their undies and bras. I think they are so much more comfy than VS and I think their price for the quality of the product that you get (decent price for good product) is wonderful.

I still have J. Crew boxers from 2007, and they are still hands down my favorites…but for the price, I do like Aerie boxers. I can't sleep in pants – it drives me insane – so I'm obsessed with boxers. The one issue I have with Aerie is that they're a lot thinner than the others I have. But they're still softer than any others I've found so I guess it's an okay trade off.

I wore American Eagle a lot in junior high/high school, but my problem with both AE and Aerie products is that I am not big (I'm a size 2-4) but I am curvy, both up top and on the bottom, and their cuts don't generally do a lot for me. At some point I also felt like I grew out of their aesthetic (although they now seem to be marketing more towards "grown-ups"). I would give them another shot, but unfortunately, I don't agree with some of their advertising practices (like Photoshop) and I feel that buying their products only supports or condones the behavior. K that's it, stepping off my soapbox now! 😛

I am stocking up my pajamas ready for University this Autumn! I love satin sets for over the Christmas period, but for the rest of the year I rock anything plaid from Jack Wills.
p.s I have just found your blog and love it! I just wish more of the products and brands you mention were available in the UK!

Most of my pj shorts/pants are from VS! I do have a pair from aerie though. No complaints. They're very soft and comfortable. 🙂

Old Navy usually has good sleepwear, especially during the holidays. I dont' know what it is about Christmas PJs, but they're so much better than any other kind and I will wear them no matter what season it is.

I recently went in to old navy, haven't been in a couple of years but they had a really cute selection of pjs! I got a really cute pair of pj shorts and they quickly became my favorite pair! I'm a bit taller so the aerie ones are really short, but the old navy ones are perfect!
