Halloween Treats

Ugh, I can’t believe that I titled this post “treats.” It’s seriously one of my least favorite words… but… it’s October and that means Halloween and treats is a major part of the lexicon of the month. And there’s no way I’m posting tricks (how mean!), so treats it is…
I love Thanksgiving in November and pepperminty desserts in December are always great. However, October has the BEST snacks… ever. It’s really hard for me to resist Halloween candy and desserts. Reese’s cups taste so much better when they’re shaped like pumpkins. Candy corn with peanuts is the best mix pretty much ever. Fun sized chocolate bars are way too small to stop at one… right?
Even more festive treats:
Chocolate Covered Strawberries // 1-800-Baskets
Okay. Someone please send me these. I will cry with joy and I might share. (Might.) Chocolate covered strawberries are always a good idea, but these are extra adorable with special sprinkles.
Pumpkin Cake Pops // Art and the Kitchen
Hey mom, are you reading this? These are charming, no? I think maybe carrot cake or spice cake or, goodness, just any cake would taste amazing and look adorable dressed as a pumpkin.
Crisp Candy-Corn Treats // Martha Stewart
Not a fan of candy corn? While I love it, it’s scientifically proven to hated by fifty four percent of the adult population. These rice krispy treats are a happy medium.
Halloween Blondies // Martha Stewart
Brownies are terribly addicting and I end up eating more batter than brownies (anyone else?). Blondies… really delicious but easier to stop at one (well, two).
Pumpkin Pretzels // Butter with a Side of Bread
Three words: Sweet and salty. Wouldn’t these make an adorable gift for friends? Put a handful in a cellophane bag or a few servings in a mason jar and spread the love.
What are your favorite Halloween treats? Add a link to recipes you have in a comment so I can check them out!

xoxo

I'm totally going to make those chocolate covered strawberries! I'm gluten free and try not to rely on gluten free versions of foods, so those will be awesome. 🙂
