Coffee and Cookies

It seems like a month ago I was heading to DC for the meet and greet, but it was really just about a week ago! Crazy.
For so many weekends throughout my senior year of college I made the round trip to the city… by bus most of the time and sometimes by train if I was feeling generous. Every time I’d turn around and watch the skyscrapers getting smaller and smaller as we pulled away from the city and started the journey back to DC. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t counting down the days to graduation so I could move to the city for real.
Now that I’m here, I can sometimes get wrapped up in everyday life and forget to appreciate how I am completely living my dream. And living my dream is that much better when I can share it all with you… and meet you!
Being back in DC is special for a million reasons. I wanted so badly to be out of Georgetown so I could get to where I wanted to go, who I wanted to be. I honestly haven’t really been back to campus since graduation and just walking around where I used to study and shop brought back more memories than I had anticipated.
And then meeting everyone was just incredible! The one thing I don’t like about blogging is that it can feel kind of lonely. Most of the time, it’s me sitting in the corner of my bedroom staring at my iMac until my eyes start watering. Social media can sometimes feel like a slew of avatars and handles and numbers and it can feel a little bit impersonal at times as I’m chugging along. Putting faces to the names and comments and tweets make me SO happy. It’s the best reminder of why I love what I do and why I’m able to do what I do… YOU!
My friend Brittney put together the whole thing… I just had to show up! She’s a pro-planner and I would trust her with every event. Rockstar. Every detail from the location to the decorations to the favors was perfection.
I wore:
J. Crew Striped Sweater (on sale and it has elbow patches!) // Kate Spade Scalloped Shirt (similar) // BaubleBar Monogram Necklace // J. Crew Minnie Pants // Nine West Pumps

This looks like so much fun! Next time you're in Tampa you should do another meet and greet! I always seem to miss them!

This looks fabulous! I love the decor 🙂 Also, I'm sure you know this but just in case you didn't, you have a huge contingent of followers in Gainesville, and I'm legitimately surprised every time I get into a conversation and mention your blog simply to find that the person I'm talking to already follows you too! Anyway, I know it's unlikely that you'll be back here very soon since your sister just graduated, but if you're in the area it would be SO COOL if you would do a meet and greet! There's a lot of people around here that I know would want to come 🙂

Basically you rock.
