Gift Guide: My Favorites This Year

Today I’m rounding up my favorite items from this year that I think would make great gifts! These are all products I’ve purchased or received this year and have absolutely LOVED. If you’re looking for gift ideas for yourself or someone you love… you may want to use this list as your guide.
Gingham Flannel Pajamas | These were a recent purchase and I have to admit that I spend too much time wearing them. I’m a sucker for a good pajama set in general, but these are extra cute and comfortable. They’ve gone through a number of washes and get softer and softer each time.
Monogrammed Black Watch Cosmetic Bag | I was sent this cosmetic bag and have found it to be incredibly useful beyond just travel. It’s small enough to be thrown into tote bags that I carry during the day which adds just a bit more organization to an otherwise black hole. I throw in headphones, my iPhone charger, lipstick, and whatever else I might need on hand!
Bose Speaker | I swear by this speaker. If you’re looking for ONE GIFT, make it this. Seriously, it would work for anyone from your dad to your grandma to your sister in college. I connect my iPhone to it while I’m working so I can listen to music and even tote it into the bathroom to stream podcasts while I’m doing my hair and makeup. Would be perfect for any dorm room, apartment, or home.
(Moms, this is an easy go-to gift if you’re not sure what to get…. guys or girls!)
Plaid iPhone Case | I’ve been obsessed with Minnie and Emma for almost two years now, but this plaid case is definitely a clear favorite of mine. I can’t get enough of the sleek and adorable cases. (Also, everything here is currently 25% with code “CYBER15.”)
Jet Set Candy Charm Bracelet | These charms are everything. Every time I wear the bracelet, I get a handful of compliments and everyone wants to know where it’s from. I’ve become friends with the designer this year which only makes me love the brand more.
Black Pumps | I can’t believe I didn’t have a pair of plain black pumps until this year. Not really sure why that was the case, but I’m happy to say that these heels have remedied that situation. These are extremely comfortable for heels and are very flattering on the foot. A staple for the closet for sure!
Patagonia Nano Puff | This was a purchase for our Alaska trip this spring. It’s a game-changer for warmth. It’s not bulky and layers so well.
Monogrammed Ring | After spending quite some time looking for a good monogrammed ring, I finally decided on this tiny disk ring. It’s the perfect size without being over the top and has that extra special personalized touch.
Fisherman Sweater | This may be the sweater I wore the most this year. I wore it with shorts this summer for a beachy look, with white jeans for casual dinners al fresco, and with dark denim during the cooler months. I definitely recommend sizing up for the perfect fit.
Coffee Grinder | What a great everyday grinder. I don’t really need a fancy machine and this one does the trick and then some. Grinding coffee beans every morning has turned into something I really look forward to. (And it so makes a difference for brewed coffee!) Would be an even better gift if paired with a favorite bean… I think I’m getting my mom a few bags of Martha’s Blend.
Soda Stream | The Soda Stream was a birthday gift I received and I knew I liked it but wasn’t sure how often I’d use it. Every night, I make a bottle of bubbly water to drink with dinner. Obsessed doesn’t even begin to cover it. Bonus: It’s fun and makes drinking water extra easy. (The KitchenAid version looks extra sleek on a kitchen countertop.)
Dubarry Boots | When I opened the box of these boots, I knew I was going to love them. They’re super comfortable, can be worn in the rain, and look great dressed up or down.
Lavender Bubble Bath | As often as I can, I unwind with a hot bath and use this bubble bath to make it that much more relaxing. The lavender smells incredible and really elevates the bath experience.
Monogrammed Weekender | This weekender has become a great travel companion. It’s my go-to bag for travel because of the straps. (Sounds lame, but I swear having the choice between handles and a shoulder strap makes all the difference.) Plus, it’s monogrammed of course!
Smoking Slippers | Garrett gave me a pair of Stubbs and Wootton slippers this year and I wore them as often as I could. They’re extra chic and feel surprisingly comfortable. Love this velvet pair for the winter months.

Hi Carly! I love your blog! I want to get my best friend a monogrammed passport cover for Christmas since we both love to travel. Since you travel frequently, do you have any suggestions for a good brand?
