Indiana Roadtrip

Garrett’s good friend from college got married last weekend and we road-tripped out there to help them celebrate. I love Indiana. So many of my favorite people have ties to the state. After visiting last summer, I have been counting down the days when we could return.

There’s so much I love about Indiana– like the miles and miles of cornfields– but the state fair is SO MUCH FUN. 99% of my love comes from the fried Oreos. They’re a once-a-year treat, and you better believe I have a countdown going for 2017.

We got on the road a little (ahem five hours) late, so we didn’t get into Indianapolis until 5 am in the morning. We headed straight for the fair with a couple of Gar’s friends after taking a quick nap at the hotel. I was exhausted and feeling under the weather, but it was worth it!!

We left the fair on a complete sugar high and went straight into wedding mode. Rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and then wedding day! Despite on and off rain, it was an amazing night to dance outside under twinkly lights… all for our friends’ new marriage!

I think that you and Garrett really love it there – I can totally see you guys settling down in Chicago so that you get the best of both worlds!
