My Morning Routine with Keurig®

I’m so excited to be partnering with Keurig® for this post since you know I love a good cup of coffee. I got a Keurig® brewing system for my birthday right at the beginning of my senior year of college. Having a Keurig® in my room made such a difference for late night studying– I didn’t have to go anywhere for a quick cup!

They recently sent me a brewer to try, and I LOVE it. I got the Keurig® K15 Brewer in Platinum because it fit in with the rest of my kitchen appliances (bonus!), but they also come in a ton of amazing colors. You can match yours to your dorm or apartment decor. The K15 is the smallest in the line and is under $100– even though I don’t live in a tiny apartment anymore, I totally appreciate the small size. No need to take up a huge chunk of my counter space!

Having coffee at the touch of a button is so important for me since I work from home. Coffee is a major part of my routine! I go to bed at night dreaming of the cup of coffee I’ll have in the morning. I feel like my morning doesn’t officially start until I take that first blissful sip.

My mornings are when I do the bulk of my “sit down” work. That pretty much means catching up on emails. Lots and lots of emails. After walking the dogs, feeding them, and getting them settled in for a morning nap (lucky pups), coffee in hand, I chug through my inbox so I can start the rest of my day with a clean slate.

When I started working from home, I had to figure out what work schedule made the most sense for me. This 6 am start has been the most productive I’ve ever been. I don’t naturally want to sit down at my desk at the crack of dawn, but that cup of coffee is a great motivator. And I always feel amazing when, at noon, I’ve already accomplished a full six hours of work.

I wish I had done this in college actually. It’s so tempting to sleep in when you don’t have class until after 10 am, but it would have been so helpful to have gotten in the habit of early morning study sessions!

I really like that Keurig® makes it so that everyone can get exactly what they want. So good for roommates, apartments with four friends, and significant others. With a huge selection of options (over a hundred!) I can go for a Green Mountain Coffee® Pumpkin Spice K-Cup® pod (Garrett thinks it’s sacrilegious before September, haha) and he can go for a Green Mountain Coffee® Nantucket Breakfast Blend.

Oh, and there’s no guesswork in making the coffee. Each cup turns out perfectly! (And you can sign up for Keurig® Auto Delivery and never run out of your favorites! Moms– this is such a fun and perfect alternative to the college care package!)

I swear by my Keurig – coffee is normally the only thing that gets me out of bed in the morning so that I can start my day on time, haha. I may have to look into getting a smaller Keurig for my new office and look for one in my brand colors. 😉 Love your coffee cup, by the way!

Do you have a preferred kind of Keurig coffee? We have one at my work and I’m a fan of Timothy’s Hazelnut and Pacific Blends (though I’m not sure if you have Timothy’s in the States…). I really enjoyed the Starbucks Fall 2015 Autumn Blend too, so much so that I bought my own box to bring to work. =D

I don’t drink coffee, but my mother does. I have been wanting to get her a Keurig. But I haven’t had the money to do it yet.
