Cold Weather

Tiptoeing into Fall with DSW

I’m not ready for summer to be over by any means, but I would be lying if I said that putting this post together didn’t get me excited for fall weather and, most especially, fall clothes! I partnered with DSW to show a few fall shoe trends, and I really love how it turned out. Booties and loafer season will be here before we know it so we should, at least, be prepared. Right?

I put together three different fall outfits that are perfect for transitioning into fall weather. I have a casual one, a dressier one, and one that’s somewhere in between. They’re all featuring DSW’s exclusive brand Mix No. 6. I picked three pairs that fit my style, but there is really something for everyone. I’m sending my sister these peep toe booties, I know she will love them. The prices are so good too; it’ll be hard to say no to a pair (or two).

I don’t think the outfits are really complete without the shoes– they definitely make the outfits feel perfect.

Cute Brown Booties

Vecciano Chelsea Boot (c/o) // I don’t think you can consider it fall without a great bootie. The heel is great because you get some height but they’re still so easy to walk in. Just throwing it out there, but they also come in a gorgeous navy!!!

I wore the booties with a skirt, but they’d look so cute with cropped skinny jeans, too.

Mix No. 6 Owo Flat (c/o) // I love a good loafer. It’s a must-have for fall. This pair looks somewhere in between a loafer and a ballet flat, and they’re crazy comfortable. Oh and the tassels? Perfection!

I dressed the flats down for a casual look perfect for easy-going days of studying or weekend errands.

Preppy Loafers for Fall

Preppy Fall Outfit

Cheraven Flat (c/o) // Aren’t these strappy ballet flats amazing? I love that they’re a little twist on my typical go-to flats. The stud detailing gives a little sparkle without overwhelming the flat. I felt like it added just the right amount of glitz to this outfit!

The taupe suede also goes with so much and was the perfect neutral for my pink and burgundy tweed skirt!

Super cute shoes! I love the booties especially. I’m curious about what you’d suggest to pair with dressier pants for work. I know loafers and ballet flats are the way most people go, but I genuinely cannot stand not wearing socks, or having any part of my foot/ankle exposed to cold weather. Help please!? 🙂

These are all sooooo cute, especially the booties! They look like they have the perfect height heel to dress either up or down! Thanks so much for sharing these! Also, just a little heads up, the hyperlink to the Cheraven flat goes to the link for the booties.

Thanks again!

Cute outfits!! I wish I lived somewhere I could wear skirts in the fall, but it’s nearly freezing enough to wear them during the typical ”summer” months.

So adorable! I cannot wait for fall, and these outfits are making me even more ready for cooler weather. I definitely want to grab a pair of the flats with the tassel!

Hi Carly!

I’ve been thinking about ordering that LL Bean utility jacket and was wondering what size you’re wearing and also if you like that one or if you would suggest another? I’m on the hunt for one right now and would love your insight! 🙂 Thank you!!
