A Plaid Dress for the Holidays

This plaid dress had my name written all over it when I spotted it online. I love the length, the cut, and (duh!) the print.

Tartan Dress

I kept things super, super simple. With a tartan dress, you don’t really need a lot. Black pumps and a gold shawl.

This gold scarf/shawl thing that I have is something that I bought a couple of years ago. I needed it for one dress and I remember wondering if I’d ever wear it again. Turns out, it was a great purchase. It comes in handy all the time.  The exact one I have is sadly sold out, but this is the current version and I found a similar one online too!

Gold Wrap

Also, my hair… I haven’t been curling it as much when it’s cold outside because it’s so dry. Curling it makes it way more staticky. But straight can be so boring! I pulled out a trick from my elementary school days. You part the ponytail (or in this case a half up half down) and then loop the “tail” through the hole. (Just Googled it and it’s called an inside-out ponytail apparently!)

Looking at these photos again makes me want to head off to a holiday party where there is live piano playing and caroling and all the Christmas cookies. You know?
