Gorgeous “Silk” Scarf

If you see me in the next few months, there is a high likelihood that I will be wearing at least a few pieces (if not all) of this outfit. I am obsessed with everything, especially this scarf (under $50!!!). I’ve worn it every day since I got it in the mail. What’s great is that it has so many gorgeous colors so it looks great with various outfits.

Dark denim. White jeans. Camel sweaters. Navy, white, cream, and chambray tops. The options are seemingly endless!

I had originally planned to shoot this outfit without a coat. I thought it was going to be a warmer day, but it was so much colder than I anticipated. I threw on this camel coat (unfortunately sold out, but here’s one that looks pretty similar albeit a bit more expensive than the J. Crew one I have!).

A positive about wearing the coat is that I loooooove the way the scarf looks with the camel. So much so that this weekend I wore the scarf out to dinner over a camel sweater.

The negative? I really wrinkled the sleeves of the shirt. I kind of thought I might be able to tuck the sleeves in carefully, but I was sadly mistaken when I took the coat off to reveal very wrinkled sleeves that I had just steamed to perfection that morning. Please forgive me. I do, in fact, own an iron and a steamer.

Scarf

(Whoops. Honestly, I almost didn’t even post these photos but I’m hoping you can look past the wrinkles! Here’s what the shirt looks like when the sleeves are not crinkled.)

Oversized Silk Scarf

The scarf is so large and there are a bunch of different ways you can style it. I kept it simple by folding it longways and draping over my shoulders.

Navy Suede Mules

Also have to note the shoes. Mules have grown on me, but I find that the flat versions end up looking a bit more like slippers than shoes most of the time. When I saw these low block heels, I knew I wanted to at least give them a try. Bottom line? OBSESSED. I ended up going back to order them in black because they were on sale for under $40. I have a feeling I’ll be alternating between the navy and black all summer long. (FYI, that particular sale ended but I imagine there will be a different sale coming up soon.)

@wrinkles: We’re only human! // Honestly, who can tell with the weather anymore?? // Looove the coat, especially the collar. Also love the size of the silk scarf, and it’s a plus that silk scarves are so packable! Statement print scarves aren’t totally in my comfort zone, as solid colours with interesting textures are more my thing, but these kinds of scarves have slowly started to grow on me, especially as my mom lovesss statement print silk scarves (and especially Hermes’) and is always trying to pass of hers to me 😛 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

Love the scarf! And the wrinkles are 100% relatable!! The fact that the shirt still looks totally cute and put together with a few wrinkles makes it a much more practical buy for the average Jane anyway 😉

Honestly I wouldn’t have even noticed the wrinkles had you not mentioned them haha. It looks great on you! I love you this would be such an easy work look!

That scarf is so gorgeous! What a perfect transition outfit – I never know what to wear in these awkward “it’s supposed to be spring but it’s freezing outside” weeks.

I honestly wouldn’t have noticed the wrinkles at all if you hadn’t pointed them out!

Really inspired by the outfit. Going to check out those shoes. I’ve been on the hunt for that shoe style. The flat style doesn’t look good on me. Thanks Carly!

I LOVE this outfit and the scarf! I think the title of the post is a bit misleading tho; I was expecting a silk scarf but the Tuckernuck website says it’s 100% polyster.

I LOVE this outfit! It jumped out at me while I was scrolling my Instagram feed and everything is just lovely. I love your honesty about the sleeves too, because it’s reality and it happens to all of us. Thanks for sharing, because the top is cute in its own right.

Grace 🙂

Just wondering how the producers of this scarf are making a replica of Hermès Zénobie Reine de la Palmyre and getting away with it!
