I was all over the place this week. A couple of low points and a bunch of good ones. I started the week off on the wrong foot and it’s always frustrating to try to get back on track. Let’s just focus on the positives though:
– I took time to drive to Target. I know it’s lame, but I just love that place. I picked up a few groceries, this mirror for my office, and a clothing rack. Now that I have an official office space, I’m trying to get as organized as possible. I wanted a clothing rack to plan out outfits for shoots and just having it for a week, I feel so much better.
– Maxie was in town! So happy that I got a chance to see her. It’s never enough time, but I’ll take what I can get. She brought along a galley of her book and, guys, I was so emotional. I am INSANELY proud of her and can’t wait until I can share all the details here with you. I know this book is going to fly off the shelves; you will LOVE IT.
– In addition to getting my office organized, I also had a meeting get canceled and took that time to hang some stuff in the apartment. Including curtains. I felt like an idiot trying to hang the curtains by myself (I mean, it’s been more than a month), but then I realized a stupid mistake I was overlooking and got a smaller screw from the hardware store. It still took a bit of sweat, but I finally got them up. Always such a satisfying feeling to accomplish something that involves a drill, you know?
Here’s what was on my radar this week:
ONE // Wild Wild Country on Netflix
Have you guys watched the Wild Wild Country series on Netflix? My boyfriend and I got super into it. The first episode was kind of “meh” and I did not understand what all the hype was about. But wow. Every episode (there are six in total) gets crazier and crazier. It’s absolutely one of those “stranger than fiction” scenarios. I’ve been finding articles about the series and couldn’t believe the directors, brothers, are only 27 and 31. Impressive!
TWO // Walmart Kid Yodler on Ellen
I’m sure by now you’ve seen the yodling kid in Walmart? He’s going viral and, well, if he isn’t the cutest kid ever. He was just on Ellen and she hooked him up with a dream come true!!
THREE // Belted Shirtdress
Last weekend I switched my closet over to warm weather clothes. It was so nice to see my sundresses again; I’ve missed them. One thing was apparent though, I have an obsession with shirtdresses. (Aka I have way too many.) But…. maybe you’re in need of one! How cute is this belted shirtdress?
FOUR // Gmail Update
A reader sent me this article with some sneak peeks into Gmail’s new updates. I think we’ll start to see them rolling out in the next few weeks. Totally curious to see how this plays out. I’m rarely impressed, to be honest, with Google’s tech updates. (Remember the hype about Inbox?) T
FIVE // Family Sings Les Mis
OMG this is absolutely incredible. Talk about a talented family. I sent this to like ten of my friends because we’re all obsessed with Les Mis.
