Chinoiserie Dress

I am absolutely obsessed with this dress from the Gal Meets Glam Collection that just launched. I’ve loved every single one that I’ve received, but this one takes the cake for me. I loved it from the second I saw it in the lookbook and it only went up from there.

Gal Meets Glam Collection

I’ve never received so many compliments from a dress. I photographed the dress last week before a meeting and rushed through the city to get there in time. So. Many. People. Stopped. Me. The print reminds me so much of chinoiserie that I feel like a little ginger jar when I wear it.

The dress runs pretty small, especially if you have a larger chest or broad shoulders. There isn’t much give to the fabric so definitely consider sizing up one (or two) sizes. I’m wearing the size 2.

My favorite features of the dress:

Bow at the neckline, hidden buttons down the front, and POCKETS

Thanks for the tip about sizing! The bow is cute, but is it possible to wear the dress slightly unbuttoned without it?

Hi Carly–is there any way you could post a photo (either here or on instastories) with the dress slightly open? I love this dress but this is the question that’s keeping me from pulling the trigger and purchasing! Thank you!!

How long is the dress? I checked the website and it did not say. The dress looked short on the model and much longer on Julia in the pictures the website has for the dress.

What a gorgeous print! I love dresses with pockets – I wish all dresses had them.

Those shoes are still so cute. I bought them in pink last month to wear to a wedding and a work formal event, and they are absolutely perfect for spring/summer.

Completely obsessed with the whole collection but especially this dress on you; it is SO cute and you do look like a ginger jar (in the best possible way).
