Shopping Around Nantucket

Did you guys catch my Instagram Stories last week while I was on Nantucket? I was there with NIR Retail and it was basically a shopaholic’s dream come true. I was given the opportunity to go to a bunch of stores (somewhere around 15– I lost track) to meet the shopkeepers and do a little shopping. It was a great way to explore Town more and I definitely discovered some new shopping gems!

(Let me know if I should make a story highlight on my page of everywhere I went… I honestly have never watched someone else’s highlights so I’m not sure if they’re useful or not.)

The weather was looking pretty chilly so I packed a bunch of sweaters and pants. At the last minute, I threw in this new white dress… just in case. I’m so glad I did because it was downright warm on our first day. I flew wearing a sweater and immediately wanted to change before starting our adventures. I did bring a little sweater along in case the temperature dropped; it still felt nice enough to drape over my shoulders all day.

Of course, it’s sold out in a bunch of sizes already. Ugh. But! The style of dress is pretty popular right now which means there are more equally (if not more!) adorable options to choose from:

There are few words to describe how happy Nantucket makes me. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing there, I’m just totally at ease. Whenever I’m in town, I try to swing by Handlebar Cafe for a coffee or an iced latte. It’s so good.

I originally bought this dress thinking I’d wear it with these sandals, but they’re not the most practical for walking on cobblestone streets all day. (I did switch into them at night though!) I went with my go-to white Jacks. Just wanted to share this old post I did about how to break in your Jack Rogers. There’s a science behind how I do it; it’s so worth the breaking in period because then they turn into the most comfortable sandals.

I grew up going to the Cale and the Islands all summer. It’s such a magical place! I haven’t been to Nantucket in a while, we normally stick to the Yarmouth area, and you have got me convinced we need to hop on the ferry next time we’re there. Thank you for the inspiration! xAllie

Nantucket is one of my favorite getaway spots on the East Coast. My favorite boutiques are Follain, Serenely and Peter Beaton of course!
