Chambray Jumpsuit

I have been experimenting with new styles. I think because I’m buying less and buying more thoughtfully, I’ve determined that I have pretty much everything I need for a staple wardrobe. It’s the fun items– like jumpsuits– that I historically haven’t purchased. My mom rocks a jumpsuit like no one’s business and I wanted to have a couple on hand for the summer. I have tried a bunch. Every time I see one and I even remotely find it cute, I try it on. Usually, it’s a big miss. (Word to the wise, pretty much every jumpsuit looks weird on a hanger… you have to try them on to see what they actually look like!!)

I bought this black jumpsuit earlier in the summer and it’s been such a fun piece to have. I tried a few from J. Crew that did not work on my body type or simply had a weird cut. (I have two primary issues with jumpsuits: length and fit. I have a longer torso so usually can’t even put the shoulders on they’re so short on me. And some jumpsuits end up making you look like you have a very saggy butt. No thank you.)

I spotted this jumpsuit while I was searching for an outfit for a separate sponsored post. I added it to my cart on a whim and it might be one of my favorite purchases of the summer! It’s so different from what I’d usually gravitate towards, but somehow still feels very much “me.” I packed it for our Nantucket trip and wore it for one of our dinner’s out.

The straps are adjustable (so it doesn’t matter if you have a long/short/proportional torso) and the belt at the waist gives it a customizable fit. I would say that it fits pretty true to size, but if you have curvier hips or a larger butt, go up a size.

And I know I’m going to get questions about bras. If you’ve been reading for a while, I’m pretty anti-bra. I hate ’em and if I can get away without one, I will. Here I’m just wearing little petals.

Oh my gosh I LOVE this look. It’s simple, elegant and beautiful. And really YOU even though it’s a bit different than usual. An absolute wow.

Remember when I saw this jumpsuit on your Stories and I loved it. It looks so elegant and fresh, it’s nice to know that the straps are adjustable. Usually I like to buy jumpsuits that have built-in bras, so as I won’t feel uncomfortable.
You look gorgeous, Carly!! ❤

Chambray is so classic – so I think putting it on something a little more daring (aka jumpsuit!) helps make it feel more classic and wearable!

First, you look absolutely STUNNING and look radiant. That jumpsuit looks like it was made for you. This is such a simple but really chic outfit!

I just bought my first jumpsuit a month ago and coincidentally it looks similar to this one, but with wider straps! I love how relevant this post is – I was also stepping outside my comfort zone with jumpsuits, but now can’t wait to buy my next!
