On My Radar

Happy Friday! This has been such a fun week. It’s always nice to kick off with a holiday on Monday. We hosted a backyard barbecue, which was quite fun and forced me to deep clean the apartment. (Nothing like having friends come over to be inspired to clean, ha.) I spent Tuesday playing catch up; I had zero things on the calendar, not even a single phone call. Then Meghan and I took a baking class at DŌ in NYC on Wednesday and had a double date with Mitch and Kelly last night. Today I’m back in the city for the Kate Spade show and (!!!) a bowling joint-birthday party! (It’s all I wanted to do!!! 😂)

NYC

Here’s what has been on my radar this week:

ONE // Chiara Ferragni’s Wedding

Did you catch Chiara Ferragni’s wedding photos (and videos for that matter)? They are INSANE. Her wedding was so over the top and incredible. I mean, all of her friends were flown to the wedding on a chartered flight and they’re filming a documentary… not to mention her TWO Dior gowns. I fell down a rabbit hole because everything was just 😍

TWO // Everything Is Changing

I’m not the biggest fan of change, but loved Casey Neistat’s video about things ever evolving. “While it’s natural to be scared of change, you should never let that fear keep you from making changes.” And it doesn’t hurt that most of it is filmed at one of my favorite places in the world… The Ocean House!

THREE // Neely and Chloe’s Fall Collection

I love all of the Neely and Chloe bags that I have. The quality is amazing and the timeless designs are gorgeous. They just released their fall collection! Can’t get over the richness of everything, and I think this little pyramid bag will be my next purchase. It’s SO cute.

FOUR // Hilary Duff Relieves Shooting The Lizzie McGuire Movie

I would go out on a limb to say that Lizzie McGuire was an icon of our generation. (Plus she was totally the original Bitmoji!) I loved the show and loved the movie even more. My eighth-grade class actually went to Italy together during our spring break (about a year after the movie was released). While I did not get mistaken for a pop star while I was over there, we all felt like we were living out the plot! Can’t believe it’s been 15 years– loved hearing Hilary Duff reminiscing on the shoot! (Now I want to go rewatch it!)

Lol, a bunch of awkward 13 year olds in Italy… Can you find me?!

FIVE // Kayla Itsines’ BBG

OMG, these workouts. They’re killing me. Every week they get harder and harder, right now we’re finishing up Week 3.  I know they’re working though because I can feel the changes in my body and I’m definitely starting to see a little more definition here and there. Thank goodness I have an accountability group going right now though because I don’t think I’d be sticking with these workouts otherwise. Last week I skipped the Friday workout and felt so guilty about it, so I made up for it on Tuesday and still had to do the other three workouts. Needless to say, climbing upstairs has been a nightmare! I keep getting a lot of questions about it. All I can say for now is a) it’s amazingly difficult, b) yes, I’m seeing results, and c) the best way to do it is just to do it. I’ll do a full recap when I get to the end of 12 weeks.

I know we all feel old these days, but it definitely hasn’t been 20 years since the LMM came out in ‘03…

Whoops!! 15 years! I think I was thinking about Harry Potter, which WAS 20 years ago and I can’t believe that!

BBG is so tough! I recently started it but did you ever have trouble doing all the moves at the beginning? Some of them are nearly impossible for me to do since I haven’t had a proper workout in months!

I tried to like the BBG workouts, I really did. Maybe it’s because I work out at home, but they just seemed so dull. They were hard and I felt like I got a good workout, but it just always felt that something was missing. I switched back to Fitness Blender this week, and am back to enjoying my workouts again.

Hey, Carly! Just wanted to let you know that the Neely and Chloe links don’t work for some reason! I just went to their website though and – OH MY GOODNESS – they are perfect! Thanks for calling this brand to my attention – I am always on the hunt for good quality leather bags at reasonable prices.
