I mostly spent gearing up for the holiday season. This is always the busiest time of year for me work-wise. I know this to be the case, but every year it still seems to sneak up on me. Please know that while this does mean there will be more sponsored content throughout the coming weeks, I only work with brands I love and promote products I can stand behind. For every campaign you see come to life, there are at least 40 that I turned down. A couple of months ago, I shared some of the behind-the-scenes of what goes into a sponsored post in case you’re wondering what my days are currently looking like!
Sharing a quick outfit that I wore the other day. I was kind of obsessed with it, not going to lie, but didn’t take an “official” pic for the blog or Instagram, so mirror selfie will have to do. I definitely will be wearing a variation, if not the exact thing, for as long as it’s still warm enough for ballet flats! I don’t know what has gotten into me, but I am seriously having a pink moment right now… all the pink, please!
Okay, here’s what has been on my radar this week:
ONE // The Princess Switch
This is Hallmark Channel meets It Takes Two meets The Parent Trap meets Model Behavior… and I am here for it!!! It was only a matter of time before Netflix started to create their own holiday content (this looks 10x better than the best Hallmark movie, and I love Hallmark movies). It looks cheesy and festive in all the right ways! My sister and I are definitely going to be watching this together ☺️
TWO // Shelly Fitzgerald on Ellen
This story is both angering and heartwarming. A high school guidance counselor was fired from her job because she’s gay and married to a woman. Ellen had her on her show and gave the most glowing recommendation for her next job (talk about a reference!) and invited some of her students onto the show to show their support. I was completely inspired by Shelly’s positive attitude, standing up for what’s right while still taking the high road– not once did she say a negative thing, despite having every right to!
THREE // Cable Knit Sweaters
I’ve been searching for cable knit sweaters and have only found a few recently. These look amazing and while they do have a logo… it’s pretty small. I get a lot of questions about my camel cable knit, so I wanted to make sure I highlighted this camel option!
FOUR // Reusable Everyday Tote
This is going to be my “gift of the day” on Instagram today, but you get to see it first. An $8 reusable tote… in tartan!!! This would be a great small gift for the office– going “green” is the way to go! (Love that it works for men & women, too.)
I didn’t love the movie, but I’m totally obsessed with The Greatest Showman’s soundtrack. Pink and her daughter just sang a little duet together and, wow, it’s amazing. Her daughter is adorable and so precious. Clearly, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree talent-wise, too.
