Last week, I had quite a few events in the city. On Friday, I met up with Carter before one of the events to shoot my outfit for the day. It has been pretty cold this May, but it was actually pretty warm (and humid) that Friday so it was nice to wear a seasonal dress without actually freezing. (In fact, I wore a coat into the city and completely forgot I even brought it because it was so warm when I left the event and I forgot my coat. This was the first time I’ve ever done that!!! Don’t worry though, my friend rescued it from the restaurant and is mailing it to me.)
I love Gal Meets Glam’s May collection. I think it’s their best, most cohesive collection yet and I have a feeling things are going to sell out quickly. I actually got a sneak peek of the spring/summer collections a while back and this one had stood out to me then and I had been counting down the days until it was available.
A quick note on sizing for this one– I think it runs big. I have a larger chest and I barely filled out this one, even with a bra, which I usually go without! And the straps are adjustable, so if you’re in between sizes I would definitely size down.
The detailing on it is so sweet and thoughtful. The buttons down the front are faux (so no gaping 🙏🏻) and I love how the panel lines up just so with the tie of the straps, so it looks more like a ribbon than fabric. The waist also hits at such a good point– flattering and comfortable.
