Barbour (and Tory Burch and Kate Spade!) on Sale

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale went live at 3 am last night. I slept right through that but hopped online this morning to round up some not-to-miss sale items. I always like to ask myself if it’s something I’d buy full price. If the answer is yes, I go for it. Otherwise, it’s worth waiting just to make sure you don’t buy something you don’t want or need.

As far as the sale goes, things will “sell out.” (They’ll come back full price when the season starts.) There might be some restocking here and there as returns come in, but generally speaking, if you want something really badly, don’t wait! If you’re unsure on sizing, order both (if you can), so you can return the one that doesn’t fit and ensure you have a size that will.

Tory Burch Riding Boots

Here are my top recommendations:

TORY BURCH RIDING BOOTS // These are always the #1 seller from my anniversary posts. I bought a pair during the 2008 anniversary sale and still wear them. Love ’em, highly recommend.

BARBOUR RAIN JACKET // This is the one item that’s tempting me the most. I love the color of this rain jacket and the hint of floral with the lining. (Also recommend the quilted hooded jacket too.)

MY FAVORITE BRA // I think that this bra is hands down the best deal of the sale, to be honest. It’s an incredible deal and something you’d buy anyway. I think I have a total of six colors right now… and I might just have to get a few more at this price.

PATAGONIA PARKA // I know we’re in a heatwave, but you will be GLAD you have this when it’s freezing this winter. This is a great purchase if you’re heading off to school or starting a new job somewhere in the north. (Moms, this is a perfect Christmas gift to squirrel away for December!)

Speaking of Patagonia, if you have a guy in your life (brother, dad, boyfriend, best friend) this Snap-T Pullover is a steal!

CLARISONIC // I’m obsessed with my Clarisonic and can notice a major difference in my skin when I use it consistently. If this has been on your wishlist, now may be the best time to go for it. A brush head set is also included in the sale too if you need to restock.

DRYBAR FULL SIZE // Some of my favorite full sized Drybar products are pulled together in cute sets. I’d highly recommend this one as I love all the sprays, especially the dry shampoo!

T3 HAIRDRYER // THE HAIRDRYER I USE IS IN THE SALE! I bought mine full priced at Sephora, but the guy who sold it to me pitched it as an incredible blow dryer… and it’s been amazing.

HANKY PANKY THONGS // Buying underwear during a sale isn’t quite as fun as, say, a new pair of shoes, but you just can’t beat the pricing on something you need to wear every day.

WOOL BLEND COAT // This coat is gorgeous and would be perfect to have ahead of time. When that first cooler fall day hits, you’re ready!

Some fun things: a bar cart, Dyptyque candles, Neulash serum, navy double wrap watch (love!), a gorgeous jumpsuit, and an embellished mule.

And what am I buying? Not very exciting, but I need to buy a new rug. I’ve had it professionally cleaned twice, but it’s officially seen better days. I was excited to see it included in the sale!

I’m so excited to see Drybar included in the sale!! I’ve heard rave reviews of their products but couldn’t quite justify the price, but now that they’re on sale…

That rule about buying things on sale is genius and what I always try to live by myself- even when you get it and you’re debating on whether to return too!!
Thanks for being so real about the Nordstrom sale.. just the statement you made about kicking company store credit cards to the curb and how everything gets restocked so don’t worry. It is just a sale, not a life crisis. But a wonderful sale to say the least! Your freshness is so appreciated, Carly!!

I agree that you should only buy stuff that you would buy full price – I stocked up on some basics that needed replacing (leggings, bras, basic tees) and loved the candle selection!

Thanks for sharing your picks!

Carly- Lovely choices that you can really use! FYI- I found the T3 hair dryer at Costco for 89.99!! Couldn’t believe my eyes. It’s a fantastic hair dryer.

I moved to Flagstaff, AZ from Houston, TX last August and the winter was a SHOCK for this girl who had never been in cold, let alone snow. I started looking for a good coat too late in the game and by the time I found the Ralph Lauren coat you linked above it was sold out! I cannot tell you how PUMPED I was to see it in the sale and it was the first thing I purchased this morning. I didn’t even wait to add other things in my cart! I’m so excited and now just praying it fits! Cold winter here I come! (Also obviously it’s not for the snow but good for other cold days!)

I pretty much exclusively wear Natori bras (they are so comfortable)! I just ordered a few new colors from the sale because they are so practical and I might as well buy them while they’re on sale right?
