Here’s a peek at the last two weeks according to my iPhone’s camera roll…
Ugh this little guy. He turns seven in September and I’m really trying to figure out where on earth time has gone? He’s still just as active as he was when he was a puppy and is the BIGGEST FAN of fetch. If it was an Olympic sport Teddy would win gold. We had taken the dogs to the park this day and after running around in 90+ degree heat and humidity he snoozed for the rest of the afternoon here.
Speaking of 90+ degree days. I have been spending even more time in the backyard. I try to go out every day before dinner to catch the last bit of sun (when it’s not as strong). On weekends, I put on a suit and a coverup and pretend like I’m at the beach, ha.
As I mentioned earlier, I’m finally getting around to doing our guest room. It’s such a hodge podge right now and in desperate need of some attention. I loved these blues from Clare paint… need to figure out which one will work once we get our shades in. Every time I walk by the door I change my mind on what I like best!
I’m still needlepointing up a storm. Whenever I watch TV, I always try to get in a few more rows of a project. I recently completed this lobster roll and it turned out to be one of the cutest canvases.
I recently bought one of the coveted “nap dresses” from Hill House. It’s definitely very comfortable and relaxed. Am I here for this trend? Absolutely. It does run big, so I would size down if you’re in between sizes, particularly if you’re small-chested. The smocking isn’t very “snug.”
While at the lake, Taylor and I took the toddlers to a farm for a socially distanced “aunt field trip.” The goats were a huge hit with all four of us 😂 They were so cute and insanely friendly.
I also got to visit the town where my mom grew up. It’s not even a real town anymore it’s so tiny– just one intersection. It just blows my mind though that she was a nine minute drive from Mike’s family’s house. Like what are the odds?? We drove down the street she lived on… and tried to find her family’s headstones in the cemetery. Most of the stones are so old that we couldn’t read the names, but it was still pretty moving.
Ack v Hamps sent me one of the pieces from their latest collection… framed over-sand beach permits. I’m obsessed. Now just need to find the perfect spot for it.
Reunited with my little guys after being away for a few days. Love ’em. (Here’s my dress btw!)
I have been writing a ton of thank you notes lately and needed to restock my supply. I popped into a local stationery shop and found these new Crane & Co hydrangea cards. They’re so cute, I would consider framing one, haha! (They also come with a striped envelope option!)
