Everyday Chic

In an effort to wear more of what I already own, I’ve been trying to sift through my closet and really find out what my favorite pieces are.

J. Crew Icon Trench Coat

The trench coat is one of my go-tos for outerwear when it’s in-between weather. I’m already sick of my puffer coats and it’s only the beginning of February. (I’m writing this while there’s icy rain pouring outside. Gross.) Of course, I bought the trench coat and they released a new version. It has navy trim under the collar!

J Crew Looks We Love

So this is an outfit I’d go for all the time. Super simple and comfortable. It requires very little thought but still looks put together!

Another staple in my closet? The tippi sweater. I have it in so many colors and wear it all the time. It’s the perfect sweater for year-round wear. The navy looks great with white jeans for a crisp summer look too! It’s also 30% off right now with code XOXO at checkout.

KJP Watch

One recent addition to my accessories? The KJP watch! Guys, I love it. It has such a fun borrowed-from-the-boys look because it’s a little oversized. But it’s the tiny anchor and arrow minute/hour hands that sealed the deal for me! Use CarlyKJP for 15% off!

J. Crew Trench Coat

A simple outfit calls for a pop of red: (similar) ballet flats, a crossbody, and a bold red lip.

How do you tie your scarf? I would love to see a blog post about that. I like the idea of wearing scarves but I’m not sure how to execute it.

I love this! I may start having to wear something similar. In Charleston I’m actually about to put up my sweaters. Highs in the 60s and 70s next week but rain. We still have time for one more cold snap though (which means highs in the 50s haha). So I may keep my lightweight sweaters out.

I love every aspect of the outfit! Is the sweater good for layering? If I wanted to wear it over a button down should I go a size up or stay to my true size?

This is very similar to what I wear to work every day. I’m a software engineer, so things are super casual at the office, but I still like to present as put together and polished, so I try to really mind the smaller details. Love the scarf/shoe combo!
