Instagram Outfits Lately

Okay, so I am not a blogger who could ever post gorgeous outfit of the day photos on my blog every day. I try to do one or two a week, but I generally wear pretty normal clothes. I do get dressed up for some meetings and events throughout the week, but when you work from home, I definitely don’t wear heels on the reg. I wouldn’t change a thing. On my Instagram, I’ve been posting more outfits of what I actually wear on regular days.
Again, I love a fancy outfit as much as the next girl, but in reality…. it’s just not the usual outfits for me!

So this is a relatively dressed up look, but still on the more casual end of things. I was heading to a rewardStyle party and I sometimes it can be intimidating and overwhelming to be surrounded by that many Valentino Rockstuds and $3,000 designer handbags. So I went as simple as can be and felt completely comfortable and myself.

The dress is from Ann Taylor (c/o) and easily my new go-to dress. It’s also currently 50% off with code “DEAL50” at checkout. Ann Taylor runs a little big, so I would go down a size or two from your normal. (I actually ended up getting a petite size.)

Those nude pumps have been worn into the ground. Talk about cost per use… They’re so comfortable and go with about 80% of my dresses. I swear by them.

And… my Gigi New York monogrammed crossbody (c/o) was a no-brainer.

On the weekends, I’m super lazy about my outfits! I try to keep one of my weekend days obligations-free. Even if I run out of the apartment to go get coffee or run an errand, I switch back into my comfy clothes the minute I return. It’s kind of a bad habit I’m in, but when it’s the weekend…. I think it’s okay 😉 Pajama bottoms are Sleepy Jones (c/o) and shirt is a Hanes tee (c/o).
I CANNOT say enough great things about these Converse sneaks. I slip them on first thing in the morning to walk Teddy and wear them whenever my days include a lot of walking and/or errand running. The perfect casual sneak. (Plus, the design of these are super feminine!)
Dress is an older rugby stripe dress from J. Crew (this is another good option!) and there’s that monogrammed crossbody again… hands free handbags are necessary while walking a crazy pup!
For a quick lunch meeting, I opted for a simple black dress. The weather was kind of chilly, but not totally fall-ish and I was at a loss of what to wear. A 3/4 sleeve black dress (old Lilly Pulitzer, but this one is similar) plus a Murfee scarf for a pop of color. Comfortable ballet flatsa big tote (c/o) to lug all the essentials, and big sunglasses (c/o).
This weekend, Garrett and I were invited to eat at International Wing Factory for dinner. It was cold and rainy and the perfect night for delicious wings. (The Garlic Parmesan sauce is so so so good.) I had spent the afternoon running around town and going to various friend things. I opted for my new Lilly Pulitzer dress (under $100!) and my quilted puffer vest (the BEST purchase you can make for fall… I just got it in this gingham print too).
Side note: The IWF’s daughter was at the restaurant and she is hands down the cutest thing in the entire universe. I wanted to take her home with me. And my side braid, worn to ward off frizziness from the rain, was a huge hit. Apparently, it looks just like an “Elsa braid.” Ha!
Just thought I’d share some of my typical, normal outfits on here. If you want to be able to shop my Instagrams, you can sign up for Like To Know It. (I know it seems annoying, but it’s actually super easy once you sign up… then you don’t have to do anything else.) When you sign up, every time you “like” a photo on Instagram that has the #liketkit you’ll get the product details sent to your inbox. Just so you know what you’ll be getting, this is how it looks…. it’s so easy! You can toggle your settings to change how frequently you get emails (I prefer getting one recap a week personally).

I love your outfits because they always seem so put-together and yet you seem to be comfortable with what you're wearing! I feel like a lot of people wear uncomfortable clothes that they think are fashionable, but end up looking awkward because of it.

I love a good sneaker. I am definitely picking up a pair or two of the converse! Love that guy in the window nicely photo-bombing your in your black dress. So funny.

When I'm feeling lazy, I go for all basics, and then choose one "statement" item, though I put that in quotation marks, because it really isn't a statement, just something that makes it seem like I put more thought than I did into what I was wearing, whether it be shoes, hair accessories, or a scarf! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
