Memorial Day Packing List with J. Crew

I’m so excited to be partnering with J. Crew for this post. It’s all about creating your wardrobe for Memorial Day weekend. Memorial Day is one of my favorite weekends of the year because it’s the “official” start of summer. Summer Fridays kick in, the sun is out longer and brighter, and weekend getaways are a must.

I’m pretty sure my boyfriend and I are going to be heading down the shore with his family to celebrate. I’ve been pretty spoiled with travel lately, so I haven’t had a shortage of beach time, but as far as I’m concerned, too much is never enough. My sister, Carter, and I are currently down in Boca Grande at the Gasparilla Inn. It is the perfect excuse to “test drive” an outfit for Memorial Day and to continue perfecting my packing list.

J. Crew Striped Dress

I can’t get over this dress. It’s a no-brainer for Memorial Day with the red stripes. It’s easily dressed up or down, which makes it a big winner in my book. I originally thought I’d style it with wedges but thought sneakers would make it a little more daytime vacation friendly.

I have to give these earrings five stars. The pom poms are incredibly light so the earrings are just as comfortable as wearing studs with the fun pop of a statement earring. I might have to get a few more in different colors to wear all summer long.

And another straw bag you ask? I know, I just love this circle one and couldn’t resist pairing it with the dress. It looks just as great with jeans and a button down for a laid back but still chic look.

If you have fun vacation plans for Memorial Day, J. Crew has everything you could need outfit-wise. One stop and you’re all set.

J. CREW Memorial Day Packing List

(At least) two bathing suits will be tucked into my duffle: definitely a one-piece (this is going to be my go-to suit of the summer) and a bikini of the gingham variety. This striped dress would double as a coverup and a cute daytime option. Denim shorts can also work over a suit or with a tee when the inevitable cornhole tournament picks up in intensity. I always pack a pair of white jeans and a sweater for when the temps dip at night. I’d also throw in a rain jacket just in case it gets a little rainy, chilly, and/or windy. One of the best feelings is showering off the sand and sunscreen at night and climbing into comfy pajamas. If you’re the athletic type (or even if you’re not, no judgment), leggings work for morning yoga, a beach run, or a reading sesh on the porch. I try my best to pack as few shoes as I can (easier said than done): flip-flops for the sand, wedges for the night, and sneaks for everything else. Accessorize with a pair of earrings, a cute bag, and sunglasses.

Thank you J. Crew for sponsoring this post.

That sounds like a really fun girls weekend! I love that dress with sneakers too, they are a perfect match for the midi length. White sneakers and a dress a,ways feels so fun and preppy for summer . I just ordered some new white supergas and I can’t wait to break them in! Have a great trip, xAllie

I like the dress, but earings are not my favourite. At first I thought these are silver, but apparently pompons are now in style 😉
I think it was a great choice to wear normal sneakers, especially if you were to walk a lot, and it also gave the whole outfit some chill-out vibe.

Thanks for this awesome packing list! It seems like you have dressing for weekend getaways down to a tee! I love, love that dress and all your other picks are super cute as well. I have to make my way over to JCrew to see what other cute things they have in store.
