On My Radar

After taking the most wonderful break from anything work related while in Palm Beach, I hit the ground running on Monday when I returned home. It was surprisingly warm in New Jersey and I had a game plan for tackling everything I needed to catch up on so it wasn’t the hardest transition. If anything, I felt so refreshed from the vacation that it wasn’t bad at all. (Except for a 45 minute call with my insurance company where I kept wishing I had an HR department 😂)

Coconut Oatmeal

Here is what has been on my radar this week:

ONE // Love Is Blind

Maddie and I got totally sucked into Netflix’s reality show Love Is Blind. It’s horrible and addicting at the same time. I’ve never watched any of the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise and I kind of assumed I wouldn’t like LIB. But sheesh. We couldn’t stop! I will say, this is not a show you should watch alone. I think part of the fun is watching it with someone else and then adding your own commentary. I can’t tell you how many times we were talking to the TV, bemoaning certain behaviors, or rewinding to see if someone had actually said what we thought they had said. The premise is that people “date” each other through pods so they can’t see what everyone looks like, they “fall in love,” propose to the person, and then the fun begins. They get to see what they look like, go on a vacation in Mexico, practice living together, meet their friends and family… and then walk down the aisle. Inexplicably, they have the wedding whether or not they want to get married and only confess whether they will or won’t get married AT THE ALTER. It’s a wild ride.

TWO // Sampler Soap Set

I have all the heart eyes for this set of soaps. Tell me that’s not the prettiest little collection of sample soaps? This could be a super cute item to have on hand for hostess gifts.

THREE // Moving from a Big City to a Small Town

Cup Of Jo recently shared a bunch of perspectives about moving from a big city to a small town. They go into the pros and cons each person/couple faced and the comment section is also rich with additional stories. It’s no secret how much more I prefer living in the suburbs, though Mike and I both miss certain things about city-living. I think that’s why we love our house/town so much. We can walk into town (where have great restaurants, shops, and cafes) and take an under-hour train into New York City. Kind of the best of both worlds.

FOUR // Coconut Oatmeal

I have oatmeal a few times a week, either as breakfast or as a snack. While in Palm Beach, I ordered the hotel’s coconut oatmeal every single day. It was divine and I’m going to try to recreate it at home. This recipe looks delicious and I can whip up a simple streusel topping to mimic the Colony’s version.

FIVE // Tory Burch’s New Arrivals

Tory Burch’s new arrivals right now are gorgeous. Loving nearly every single piece. My favorite is this darling pleated skirt and then this floral shirtdress. And then there’s this stunning floral one-piece, which is actually the same cut as one of my favorite suits.

omg I binged Love Is Blind in one day and then watched the reunion episode when it came out on Thursday! I’ve never watched a dating show before (I probably would if they were on Netflix though, re:Bachelor/Love Island), but I follow Comments By Celebs on Instagram + their podcast, and they kept mentioning Love Is Blind, so I gave it a go. I watched it alone and I don’t know how I feel about it: Is it good? idk. Is it bingeable? Heck yeah! I’m looking forward to Comments By Celeb’s episode on it 😛
