On My Radar

As I write this, I have a to-go latte from our neighborhood cafe next to me. My office is super dark, even though it’s only 2 pm, because a rainstorm is rolling over us. Teddy and Hamilton are flopped under my chair– their hair curled up from running around in the rain. Just wanted to paint the picture for you of what things look like here.

Here’s what has been on my radar this week:

ONE // “You’ll Never Walk Alone” by Plant High Chorus

My high school’s chorus has a tradition to sing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” together as an ode to seniors graduating. Chorus was my favorite part of high school, without question. Love to see the tradition continuing, even if it’s virtual this year.  (Also I used to babysit one of the girls graduating… 😭 Her mom was my middle school PE coach and it blows my mind that she’s already graduating high school!)

TWO // Little Free Library Instruction

I bought my Little Free Library, but A Beautiful Mess just published a tutorial if you want to make your own. I really like the size of theirs…

THREE // Clip Dot Shirtdress

I’m really trying to reign in my spending habits this summer. With fewer places to go and a closet filled with perfectly good clothing already, I’m content with what I have. But this belted shirtdress caught my eye and I wanted to share it with you. It also comes in plus sizes as well!

FOUR // Healthy Roots’ Zoe Doll

How amazing is this doll named Zoe? She was created to help Black girls celebrate their hair. Not only does Zoe look like a gorgeous girl, her hair can be styled like real hair. Highly recommend watching the creator of the Zoe doll, Yelitsa Jean-Charles’ TedTalk about Black Girl Magic also.

FIVE // Yoga Mat for Preorder

I preordered this yoga mat a couple of weeks ago and I can’t wait for it to arrive. I love how chic it is– like I won’t mind having it out at all times for impromptu at home workouts. Comes in adult and kid sizes.

Singing You’ll Never Walk Alone at Rick’s Cafe every year was always special but I remember my senior year it gave me crazy chills realizing it would be the last time I’d ever perform on stage! That video makes me so happy that they could still experience their final song. ❤️

A to-go latte sounds so lovely! I love the doll – I think representation, especially for kids, is so important.
