On My Radar

Another week, another On My Radar post. Some fun stuff this week:

– I took my first tennis lesson and loved it. I’m really excited to spruce up my skills. (I need it.)

– Next week I’m going to a press event with Renée Zellweger next week and was invited to see the new Bridget Jones’s Baby in preparation. It’s been years since I saw Bridget Jones’s Diary so I wasn’t sure what to expect with the sequel. It was better. I laughed and I cried (a lot). It’s cheesy, just like the original, but in an endearing way!

– Garrett and I are pacing ourselves through Stranger Things. So good!

– Just a quick reminder that my Youtube channel is still up and running! I’m trying to get to 10,000 subscribers by the end of October!

Here’s what has been on my radar this week:

ONE // Talking to Mom on the Phone

This Vogue article was popping up all over my Facebook feed… a lot of my friends are like me apparently. I talk to my mom a lot. But the funniest part is that 90% of the time we have nothing to say. We’re just chatting. (Sometimes I call her to put her on blast on Youtube…) Our favorite is while we’re both driving through Starbucks! I’m glad to know it’s not just me!

TWO // The Real Bob Ross

Bob Ross on Netflix has been another obsession for Garrett and me. I loved this NPR article– it goes a bit into what Bob Ross was really like from his business partner. (His hair was a perm!)

THREE // The Dictionary on Twitter

Who says the dictionary can’t be fun? I couldn’t stop laughing at this exchange on Twitter!!!

FOUR // Blanket Plaid Hat

How freaking cute is this plaid hat?! I have one from a few years ago and it’s one of my go-tos throughout the fall and winter. I think this plaid one needs to find its way into my closet. (And if you want it, I wouldn’t wait. They notoriously sell out very, very fast!)

FIVE // Ellen and Britney Spears’ Mall Mischief

This. Is. Too. Funny. I love Ellen and, of course, Britney. If you need a good laugh today, you must watch this video!!! Ellen and Britney went to the mall and demanded all sorts of hilarious things because they are #celebrities. Poor Britney looked so uncomfortable but was a good sport!

That vogue article about calling your mom is so relatable! Sometimes I feel embarrassed when I tell people I call my mom every day while I’m at college- it’s not out of homesickeness, it’s just because I can chat to her about the mundane details of my life. And when we’re not calling each other, we’re texting each other pictures of the dinners we made. Thanks for sharing the link! I sent it to my mom instantly 😉
