Happy Halloween! I’m kind of obsessed with how this costume turned out. The Princess Diaries was one of my favorite series when I was younger and even met Meg Cabot once at a book signing. (Somewhere in my childhood bedroom is the scrapbook I have of the day.)

Anyway, I also have Mia hair. Getting a CHI in eighth grade changed my life– not to be dramatic or anything 😉 I thought I may do this and started to hunt online. Honestly, as the two looks started to come together, I was getting more and more excited. Once I found this pair of Doc Martens in my size on Poshmark, I was sold.

I bought this shirt, necktie, socks, and skirt from Lands’ End… and let my hair do its natural thing!

The Princess part came out even better than I thought it would! I searched everywhere for a dress that the Queen of Genovia would be proud of. I found some options on Amazon that were the right colors but seemed more prom than royalty. Then I found this randomly on Poshmark in my size and it was meant to be. Crown and gloves were both found on Amazon.

I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween! It’s supposed to be quite rainy here so hoping it doesn’t put too much of a damper on things.

This is so great!! You could (and should!) repurpose the Mia costume to be Rory Gilmore in the future. Just add a big yellow backpack, some books and a coffee cup and you’re set!

You nailed both looks! You look stunning! Enjoy your Halloween. The kids in your neighborhood will love it when you open the door.

I LOVED the Princess Diaries!! Such a fun costume idea and that gown looks perfect on you. You should add “Princess” to your list of backup life plans. 😉
Also, I’m excited to hear about your first Halloween in the new neighborhood. Will you be at home, waiting for trick or treaters?

That tie would also be perfect for a Gossip Girl costume. Have you ever done Blair? Haha.

Oh my gosh! I wish you were starring in a movie so I could watch it and see all your looks and outfits that followed… and what happened in your movie. You look absolutely gorgeous as the princess. You look authentically like a true princess! Fantastic costume… Or should I say costumes. Your natural hair is so thick and luscious and beautiful …I am envious! This is definitely a winner!
