myBall is really awesome. Now that I’ve been tracking my steps with my Jawbone UP bracelet, I’ve been trying to come up with new ways to change little parts of my life.
I think I realized that while I could absolutely use (a lot) more fitness in my life, I can start small. Even just little things like walking during telephone meetings or taking the stairs whenever possible can add up. One thing we’ve really been talking about at the office as of late is how much sitting we do. Seriously, it’s pretty terrible. My wristband buzzes every 45 minutes of inactivity and it’s horrifying how quickly those 45 minutes can go by with zero movement!
We most definitely don’t have space in our office for walking treadmill desks (we considered it), the myBall is a great solution.
It doubles as both a chair for sitting at your desk and something to use during workouts. A two-for-one! Even better!!
myBall is a microfiber canvas cover that turns a PVC plastic stability ball into something more sophisticated, hygienic and portable. Basically take any 65cm/26” or 75cm/29” stability ball, zip the cover on and easily carry it from room to room or with you on the go. When it gets dirty, zip it off and throw it in the wash.
Isn’t the signature pattern cute?!

First of all, I just found your blog a couple of weeks ago and can't get enough of it! 🙂

This is what of those products that makes me say "why didn't I think of that?!" I hate leaving my stability ball out because it sticks out like a sore thumb, but storing it isn't really an option in my little apartment!

We have treadmill desks at my school! I am terribly scared to use one though. This seems like a much better option, but I think I would start to play around too often!

Yay!!! So happy they finally released the covers for it!! I will have to buy one for work! I use it at my office job and it really helps you feel more awake and really helps your posture! My work has a personal trainer for free and she said the best thing for a desk job person is having the stability ball instead of a chair, it keeps your core engaged all day, helps with not shrinking your hip muscles at a desk all day, and keeps your posture good. Thanks for posting this!!

Okay, so if I’m going to be honest here… I rarely work out. I went on a running kick last summer and was surprised that I could even run at all, but I wasn’t really a “smart” runner and it didn’t work out. I always have an excuse not to work out, most of which revolve around how long it takes me to do my hair. Oh, and let’s not mention the fact that I wake up at 5:05 already and I’m exhausted (still at my computer) by 1am.
I have to admit, I was really intrigued by the myBall exercise ball for a couple of reasons. The first of which is that I’ve used these things when I went to the trainer with my mom. And it’s the best for strengthening and defining core muscles. The second (more shallow, but still valid in my opinion) is how cute they are!
myBall, good for a light workout
I am also really interested in these because I sit for a ridiculous number of hours a day. I wish I had a more active lifestyle, but I don’t. I work on a computer nearly every day. Even on the weekends, I’m sitting for six to eight hours a day catching up on TCP work. It’s simply not healthy. (I’m surprised I haven’t melted right into my chair quite frankly.)

Many people also claim there are numerous benefits to replacing overused computer desk chairs with exercise balls. Sitting on an exercise ball is said to improve back health because your need to balance also works to correct your posture.  And according to a 2007 study by the Mayo Clinic, one of Minnesota’s top medical centers, exercise balls have more than just physical benefits. The study worked with several groups of students in different elementary schools and replaced regular classroom chairs with exercise balls. The results were fascinating: Exercise balls not only promoted healthy movement but also seemed to improve children’s abilities to concentrate.

Hmm… Intriguing.

myBall cover are nice alternative seating option at your desk

Eventually, myBall will make custom logo covers for colleges

I have to say that this is definitely something I used to think about…. I obviously think the hygienic aspect is a HUGE plus!

myBall covers have an integrated handle that make them easy to carry from room to room or with you on the go.

Easy to take on, off and wash
myBall just launched on indiegogo where you can pre-order a myBall cover for $35!!!

I just clicked this week on that my ball ad on your blog and now want one. I've always used an exercised ball for swimming and working out. It's such a great thing to use for the whole body.I love using it to stretch my back. Like you.

I work for 8 hrs in a chair and was thinking of replacing my chair with an exercise ball. This one is cute because you have a fabric that hides the exercise ball. There is a lady that has one and said that she is glad and never went back to sitting on her office hair.

Not only great for the spine but for those 10 min office break and do a quick workout.

Can't wait to see your photos!

I think these are so cute! I remember an episode of The Office where they use an exercise ball instead of a chair… I've never been interested before, but maybe it could help!

I love the idea of a pretty cover for the ball. I always think about how dirty exercise equipment gets, and I like the idea of being able to take a cover off of an exercise ball and wash it. Plus it can be a cute pattern, which is always better.
