Teen Vogue Fashion U

This weekend, I spoke on a blogger panel during Teen Vogue’s Fashion U. When they asked me to join the panel, I was over the moon. This is absolutely, without a doubt, one of those pinch-me moments. I love Teen Vogue and working with them has been one of the highlights of my career… and I know my 13 year old self would never believe it!
I love everyone who works there. Everyone. (One of the girls lives in the building next door and watches Teddy from time to time!) Andrew Bevan is Teen Vogue’s Style Director and super hilarious. I was very happy to hear that he was the moderator of the panel. I knew it would be fun!
I joined Rachel and Dylana on the panel and we chatted about the beginnings of our blogs, the challenges we face, and our favorite parts of blogging. I love panels because I get to hear everyone’s advice, too. The biggest takeaway for me was that every blog is different and there’s no “right” way to find success. We all preferred different platforms, came from different backgrounds, and each had different strengths. The one thing we did have in common? Passion! Great things bloom from passion.
It was great to meet some longtime and new readers afterward! What a great group of girls (and guys). I wish I could go back in time and attend the whole conference as a student.

I so wish I could have seen this panel – it looks like it was a ton of fun! I've always read about your blog beginnings, but I'd love to hear you talk about them in person one day. Love your dress, by the way.
