Touch of Snow

I got really lucky with shooting last week. I had to take photos for a sponsored post and then was going to shoot a couple of outfits too… but it started to snow! Way earlier than the weather report called for. Shooting in the snow is an experience, but the results are always beautiful.

This snowfall lasted for the entire day, so I was thankful I got my required shoot out of the way and that I got to shoot a cute outfit before running back inside for the rest of the day.

This has been one of my favorite outfits of the winter. I bought this sweater right before my trip to Paris last fall and it’s remained in heavy rotation through the months. The rollneck was a J. Crew classic and I’m so happy that they brought it back. It’s clearly doing well, because they’re re-releasing it in all sorts of colors. Now it even comes in a cropped version as well as a polka dot (!!!) and stripes.

I’ve gotten some questions about sizing. I think it fits generously– if you’re in between sizes, I’d go down. But otherwise, your regular size should be just right. It also washes so well. At first, I was washing on delicate and then hanging to dry. Then I realized it was pretty sturdy and now I just wash and dry normally in the machine with absolutely zero problems!

And I also bought this coat during a major sale when I was in Charleston. It sold out pretty quickly, unfortunately, but you might be able to find one on eBay. I found some similar options though:
