Trench Girl Style

Hi! I’m obsessed with this outfit. It’s so simple but I feel extra sharp in it. Like an elevated everyday outfit.

My version of this trench coat is a little different than what’s available now, but it’s very similar. It’s such a versatile style and definitely what I’d consider a wardrobe staple.

As you can see, I’m wearing HEELS. After two and a half years of being in pain with my feet, I can finally wear heels again. I had sesamoiditis and had been to multiple doctors trying to figure it out. After a slight scare that the sesamoid bone was broken (which would have required surgery), it was actually just highly inflamed. I think I traced it back to a box jump where I missed the height and jammed my foot instead of landing on top. I kind of just resolved that I was going to be in pain forever– you don’t realize how important that big toe is until it’s in pain!

I started sleeping with one of these on my foot and eventually started to feel relief. I’d say 95% of the time my foot has no issues and I can even do barre and yoga again! And, of course, wear heels!! I am still largely #teamflats but I just love that I CAN wear heels again if I want.

These heels are super comfortable. I have them in black and they’re my “go-to” black heels. I bought them in nude too to replace a pair that I had had since college. I weirdly found the nude to be smaller than the black so I went up 1/2 size in the nude from the black.
