Two Camel Coats

Even though I don’t want to admit it, it’s the perfect time to purchase a new coat if you need one. If you’re not sure about what coat to get… I can’t recommend a camel coat enough. I only somewhat recently invested in two and I can’t believe how long I went without. They’re neutral and go with absolutely everything. And especially during the winter when everything feels so boring and monotonous, the camel ends up standing out in a sea of black coats. I personally love that they go with navy and black outfits.

Both of these coats will likely sell out before December, so don’t wait! 😉I missed out on the regent coat the first time around because I didn’t pull the trigger.

Coat // Similar Jeans // Similar Flats // Beret

The Lodge Coat // This comes in many more colors, but I think the acorn (aka camel!) is the best. It’s an updated version of the beloved Cocoon Coat, but with better and warmer details. The added cuffs on the sleeves to keep the cold from coming in is the best. And it’s just long enough to cover your butt without being extra difficult to maneuver in. It also doesn’t feel– or look– like you’re wearing a sleeping bag.

PS here’s a similar look for less!

The Regent Coat // Okay, this coat WINS though. It’s not the warmest coat that I have in my arsenal, but it’s a great option when it’s not below freezing (works for 45 degrees and up I think) and you need to look put together. It works over businesswear, chic daytime outfits, and even dressier occasions like weddings and outings to the theater. It’s beautiful and has a wonderfully tailored shape.

I’ve been looking for a camel coat and love these options. How is the fit on both? I know J Crew runs big.

Hi
The click-through links aren’t working! Who makes the 2nd coat?
Love it – have been looking for a camel coat!
Thanks,
Amy

Both are so cute, but agree the second one wins! I love how polished it is, and the length is great.

Have you tried the Cocoon coat? Between that and the Lodge coat, which is warmer?
I’m also devastated to realize they aren’t bringing back the Icon Wool Trench that I hesitated to pull the trigger on the last few years😫

I have both! The lodge is DEFINITELY warmer! The inside is quilted and there are cuffs on the neck and wrist to keep heat in/cold out

I love camel colored coats, I actually have way too much of this camel color in my closet but I don’t have a coat in this color. This year is the year I get one.

Hey Carly! I see that you have a lot of beautiful pieces from L.L. Bean. How do you find their sweaters to fit? Do you find them to run bigger or smaller than J. Crew?
I’ve been eyeing their cable knit sweaters; however, I live on the west coast, and there are no physical L.L. Bean stores here, so I don’t want to have to pay return shipping to exchange it! Thank you so much!
