This series has been a blessing in disguise for me. It makes me so much more motivated to dig through my closet a little deeper and find something I haven’t reached for 100x recently. And I really do think having this newfound “purpose” to get dressed has helped quite a bit with my mood. I’m ALL for cozies, but I swear it helps me mentally break up the days when I’m not just wearing the same type of thing over and over again!
I met up with a friend for lunch in Maplewood, NJ. This was only the second time I’ve gone to a restaurant for a sit-down meal with a waiter. It was so nice to catch up with her in person! We brought along our needlepoint projects and sat and stitched for a while!
Pretty typical day of working from home in the morning and then my usual volunteer shift in the afternoon.
I went absolutely nowhere on Thursday (hence the slippers) and just did the usual work from home grind.
My Friday was jam packed with an extra-long to-do list. I had to go to the mall to pick something up for a shoot I needed to do before the weekend… it was my first time there since the pandemic started. It was weird but also felt good to see things in person. I was in and out but still felt a little “normal” for a second there.
I picked up breakfast and coffee to go from the bagel store in town and then I spent *all day* sewing. I sewed two little dresses from start to finish and it was exactly how I wanted to spend my Saturday.
I spend most of the day on various things around the house (cleaning, laundry) and a little bit of sewing. And then we celebrated our niece’s third birthday with cake and pizza in the evening! Felt very “autumnal” in this outfit.
Spent the morning doing more birthday celebrations and then came home and spent the rest of the day working. This shirt was a new buy and I’m *obsessed* with the fit. So good for tucking in with jeans and I think it’d also look great with a skirt.
